Common Use Cases

  • Load-balancing (with session persistence)
  • High availability
  • SSL offload
  • HTTP caching
  • Application firewall

Distributing traffic to a number of application servers, while supporting the affinity between user-agents and application servers.

High availability

Ensure that an application remains available in the event that a number of traffic managers or application servers fail.

SSL offload

Decrypt inbound client requests and pass them in plain text to the application servers, thus freeing CPU resource on the application servers.

HTTP caching

Reduce load on application servers by automatically storing static content on traffic managers that have caching capability.

Application firewall

Protect your application and its data by blocking known attack-vectors, validating input parameters, implementing secure cookie-jar handling and many other effective securing techniques.
