Siege Load Tester

Description

The "Siege Load Tester" ServerTemplate is designed to help properly load test a web-based application. It's commonly used to load test an application tier where a server array and alerts are configured for autoscaling. However, it can also be used to load test the scalability of a load balancing tier.

Overview

• Open Source (http://www.joedog.org/siege-home/)
• Easy-to-use. Launch a load tester server in just a few minutes. 
• Supports the use of DNS Round Robin solutions like DNS Made Easy so that load will be equally distrubuted across all serviceable load balancers instead of possibly caching the first successful IP and sending all load to a single server.
• Respects TTLs (time to live values), which enables a proper test of an autoscaling load balanced tier.
