Private Cloud Network Connectivity Requirements

Table of Contents

Background

Customers with Private Clouds want to restrict who can access its private cloud endpoint API.

Please note: We do not encourage the use of restrictive egress rules for public cloud instances to ensure that RightScale services function as expected. AWS users with VPC security groups configured with restrictive egress rules should consult the infrastructure audit csv file and ensure that all IP addresses in the C2RS (private cloud to RightScale) direction are open egress traffic.

Answer

Egress and Ingress Whitelist for Private Cloud endpoints should allow all entries from our infrastructure audit csv that is updated hourly.  For more information regarding the ports and their corresponding functionality in regards to RightScale please refer to Private Cloud Network Connectivity Ports and Protocols.
