Standard Training Options

• RightWay - Bi-weekly live webinar offered exclusively to our customers and partners.  RightWay helps in your transition from Sales to Services.  RightWay will help you grasp the paradigm shift from traditional to cloud computing.  Key cloud computing and RightScale specific terms and concepts are covered as well.  RightWay is a must for new customers and partners, and we encourage you to send any new hires to this event as well.  (Once you have been granted RightWay access, you can attend beyond the initial engagement.) 

• RightTrack - Free, web-based training (WBT) track through general Cloud Computing concepts, RightScale specific concepts and hands-on tutorials.  RightTrack may not cover everything pertaining to the Cloud and RightScale from A...Z, but when you finish this course you'll know most everything from A...T or so!  Further, you'll know where to go and what to do to continue on your learning path.

• RightScale Partner training - Multi-day instructor led training (ILT) course designed primarily for RightScale Partners.  (Some customers also choose to purchase ILT though.)  This course is delivered in person by RightScale professionals.  It starts with RightScale fundamentals and finishes with several advanced topics that you select a la carte, to help guarantee the training experience is catered to your specific needs.  This course is lab-heavy, not lecture heavy.   The lecture portion only sets up the hands on lab exercises, which are used to solidify the material just presented.  Having an experienced instructor in class helps students work through the labs in a more efficient manner.  This course is usually taught at our training facility in beautiful Santa Barbara California, but can also be delivered on site at your location.

Other Training Options

There are other training options that tend to be more customized in nature as well.  Technical Services and Consulting can provide training on specific topics of interest on a per engagement basis.  We often refer to these as micro trainings.  Micro trainings tend to be technically deeper in nature, and a certain level of prerequisite cloud and RightScale expertise is required.  This includes RightWay, often RightTrack and ideally our fundamentals ILT as well.  As each engagement can be unique, the level of pre-requisite knowledge in order to receive effective micro trainings is gauged on a case-by-case basis.
