Advisory Services
Whether you're new to the cloud or simply need an introduction to RightScale's features and how you can put their flexibility to use, you're sure to find a perfect fit in RightScale's advisory service offerings. The following list of services can either be combined into RightScale's Premium Onboarding services bundle, or delivered individually based on your specific requirements.
The services listed in the next table include advisory assistance only. They do not include hands-on help with setting up, configuring, or customizing your RightScale cloud deployments. The latter type of in-depth engineering assistance is included in the engineering services offerings listed in the next section, which can be combined with any of the advisory services below.

| Managed Onboarding | Working as an extension of your engineering team, Professional Services provides detail-level assistance with implementing and managing your project work plan. This includes regularly scheduled review meetings to address questions and roadblocks and ensure that your implementation stays on track. |
| Testing Process Management | As an extension of your QA team, Professional Services assists with creating a scalable, working test plan for your application deployment in the cloud, as well as managing the testing process and providing an analysis of results and related release schedule recommendations. |
| Deployment Integrity Review | Professional Services reviews your currently implemented cloud infrastructure, makes best-practices recommendations, and creates a detailed plan to maximize availability and fault-tolerance by increasing redundancy and diversity in your application environment. |
Engineering Services
RightScale's engineering services are an ideal solution for customers who require hands-on, component-level assistance with their project development and deployment on the RightScale platform.
In addition to being a logical next step for Premium Onboarding customers needing engineering help implementing the resulting architecture and testing recommendations and work plans, RightScale engineering services address a variety of other business needs and scenarios, such as:
- Up-front, short-term deployment assistance needed to meet a tight deadline or facilitate the success of an upcoming launch
- Hands-on engineering help for current RightScale customers deploying new projects or migrating existing applications in the cloud
- In-depth technical reviews of existing RightScale deployments or cloud solutions to ensure that they're up-to-date with current best practices and that newly introduced RightScale features are used to their full potential

| End-To-End Implementation | Starting from your technical requirements and developed work plan, Professional Services designs, develops, and provides functional testing for a full suite of RightScale components (e.g. RightImages, ServerTemplates, RightScripts, Macros) necessary to run your application deployment in the cloud. |
| Migration/Integration | Starting from a migration plan, Professional Services provides full engineering support for your application migration in the cloud by developing and deploying the RightScale components to support this. This may entail migrating from traditional IT infrastructures to the cloud; migrating between public and private cloud environments; or migrating between image, OS, or application versions, for example. |
| Custom Development | To fill a specific, limited set of requirements for your cloud deployment, Professional Services develops one or more custom RightScale components based on an initially scoped custom work plan. |
