Known Limitations

Azure

  • Launching multiple servers concurrently in the same region yields inconsistent behavior. Keep in mind that this is also account-wide if users are attempting to launch servers in the same Azure region at once.
  • The total number of available disks is dependent on the instance type. If you use a small instance and try to specify a stripe of 4, it will fail after the server goes operational and after it tries to create the stripe. Rough estimates of disks per instance type are small = 1, medium =2, large = 3, xlarge = 4
  • Ephemeral drive not yet supported in our ServerTemplates.

For more information, see Azure FAQs.

Google

  • Currently, there is no volume support and primary backups are sent to ROS (Remote Object Store).
  • When using ServerTemplates (i.e. Database Managers) that require ephemeral disks, the instance type must end with -d.
  • The is no support for kernel modules.

For more information, see Google FAQs.
