ServerTemplates
The following new ServerTemplates use v4 RightImages.
MySQL 5.0 EBS v2 (Beta)
Description: Configures MySQL database servers that act as either a Master-DB or Slave-DB. It's specifically designed for RightScale's Manager for MySQL-EBS. Storage of MySQL data will be done using EBS Volumes. EBS Snapshots to S3 are used for database backups. The MySQL EBS with striping is designed to increase disk performance. (Note: Please see AWS Forums topic "EBS stripe" for additional information.)
Ancestor: MySQL 5.0 EBS v2 (Beta)
Supported OS: Ubuntu 8.04, CentOS 5.4
Additional Documentation (if any):
- Uses new MCI that supports the 'AWS-AP' cloud. (a-10435)
- Since RS_DISTRO is exported, unused code for RS_BASE_OS has been removed from some RightScripts. (w-3419)
- The MASTER_DB_DNSID input is now a text field instead of a dropdown (w-3458)
- Bug Fix: "SYS Add Swap Partition" was not mounting the swap logical volume upon reboot. This only affected Ubuntu platforms with the 'OPT_SYS_LVM_SWAP_SIZE_IN_G' input set. (w-3386)
- Bug Fix: An unnecessary postrotate hook was removed from the following scripts: DB EBS continuous backups v1 [rev 11], DB EBS continuous backups v2 (Beta) [rev 7], DB continuous backups v4 [rev 5] (w-3390)
PHP Front End v10
Description: Configures an instance that acts as a load balancer with Apache and PHP. It creates an entry vhost (http) and forwards requests to the specified application port to serve your web application. Can be configured for HTTPS traffic (SSL).
