  • 32-bit images dropped
  • Default timezone standardized to UTC
  • Rightlink metadata location changed from /var/spool/ec2, etc. to /var/spool/cloud, a symlink between locations added for backwards compatibility with rightlink 5.6
 Amazon EC2
  • EBS image size changed from 8gb to 10gb
  • Default image size changed to m1.small on Amazon for 64 bit images
     
 Rackspace
  • "Rackspace Managed Cloud" instances allow password-based root login by default
 Ubuntu
  • Disable HTTP pipeline on APT in preparation for upstream Ubuntu mirror change
