Lock or Unlock a Macro

Note: Macros are available only in LCP. Macros have been deprecated and are not available in the Unified Cloud Platform.

Objective

To lock or unlock a macro.

Prerequisites

  • 'designer' user role privileges

Overview

Macros do not have a built-in version control system like ServerTemplates or RightScripts. A macro can only be locked or unlocked. To prevent a macro from being modified you should lock the macro. The person who last locked the macro will be identified by their email address. A locked macro cannot be deleted.

Steps

Lock a Macro

  • Go to Design -> Macros.  Select the Macro that you would like to lock. 
  • Click the Lock action button.

Unlock a Macro

  • Go to Design -> Macros.  Select the Macro that you would like to unlock. 
  • Click the Unlock action button.
