Delete Operations

WARNING!

Due to RightScale Legacy Platform deprecation, this section covering Amazon Web Services Virtual Private Clouds (VPC) is no longer valid. Please see the Network Manager section for current information on creating and managing AWS VPCs.


Objective

As you would expect, everything you can create with respect to Virtual Private Clouds you can also delete from the Dashboard.  This simple tutorial summarizes the supported VPC related delete operations from the RightScale GUI.

Steps

Delete a VPC

  • Navigate to Clouds -> AWS US -> VPCs.  
  • Select the appropriate Delete action icon

Or, if you are already drilled down into the specific VPC you can select the Delete action button.

Delete DHCP Options

  • Navigate to Clouds -> AWS US -> VPC DHCP Options
  • Select the appropriate Delete action icon

Or, if you are already viewing the VPCs:

  • Select the appropriate DHCP Options link
  • Select the Delete action button

Note:  AWS will not permit deleting DHCP options are that currently associated with a Virtual Private Cloud.
