Remove an Instance from an AWS Elastic Load Balancer

Objective

Unregister a Server attached to an AWS Elastic Load Balancer

Prerequisites

A configured AWS Elastic Load Balancer with a server attached to it

Overview

Once you have created and configured your load balancer and added an instance to it, you may need to remove the instance.  This is very simple to do.

Steps

  1. Navigate to Clouds > AWS Region > Load Balancing > LoadBalancerName
  2. Expand the Instances tab.  
  3. Select the instances that you want to remove.
  4. Select Remove from the Actions drop down.
