    The next sections will guide you through setting up a production Deployment. This will consist of a Master/Slave Database back-end and a redundant application front-end. After you finish the initial setup we will show you how to modify the basic Deployment to fit your particular needs.

    Before you begin, there are a few prerequisites that you must complete.  Essentially, all of the following tutorials are prerequisites to setting up the Deployment in the diagram below.  This is a very common Deployment in the cloud, whose construction is made quite simple by using the RightScale Dashboard.

    • 2 Tier Deployment - A redundant database tier with front end servers that act as both load balancers and application servers.
    • 3 Tier Deployment - A redundant database tier with dedicated load balancer servers and application servers.
