Create a New OpenStack (Swift) Object Storage Container

Objective

To create a new container in the OpenStack (Swift) Object Store.

Prerequisites

Steps

  1. Log into the OpenStack Cloud Console dashboard. (e.g. http://50.12.34.56/horizon)

  2. Go to Object Store > Containers.
  3. Click Create Container.

  1. Provide a descriptive name that meets the syntax requirements and click Create Container. It’s recommended that you use simple names for containers that do not contain any character spaces or underscores. (e.g. myproject)
