How many disks can I attach per Azure virtual machine size?

Answer

The limits for attaching volumes (disks) per instance type (virtual machine size) are as follows:

  • Extra small = 1
  • Small = 2
  • Medium = 4
  • Large = 8
  • Extra Large = 16
