Why am I unable to log in to the RightScale Dashboard after the October 27, 2011 maintenance?

Background

After our October 27th, 2011 maintenance window, some users have experienced errors such as the following:

  • Session has Expired
  • Incorrect username/password

Answer

If you are receiving one of these errors after the maintenance, we recommend trying the following:

1. Close out all instances of your browser, then re-open your browser and try to login at https://my.rightscale.com again.

This should help alleviate the problem using any of our supported browsers (Mozilla Firefox, Google Chrome, or Microsoft Internet Explorer).

2. If the above doesn't help, try clearing your browsers cookies, then closing and reopening your browser again.

Note: When closing and reopening your browser, be sure you close any and all browser instances before reopening it. (Use a task manager if needed.)
