What happens after API 1.0 End of Life in December 2014

Table of Contents

Overview

RightScale API 1.0 will go End of Life this end of December 2014 and API 1.5 will be the only fully supported version after that. What does this mean?

  1. This means that anyone using API 1.0 to manage their Servers/Services will need to move to API 1.5 before End of Life of API 1.0.
  2. Instance facing API, any RightScale built and published assets that use API 1.0 calls will still work internally after this date . However, customers using direct API 1.0 calls  to query or manage resources will no longer work.
  3. For anyone not using the API for Server/Service Management, this should not be a concern.
