As a result of the upgrade, why are some of my cookbooks shown as "followed" and others shown as "normal"?

Overview

On August 22nd, 2013, accounts were upgraded to support our Cookbooks and Repositories sections in our dashboard. For information about why this change was made, see this blog post.

As a result of this upgrade, some cookbooks might show up as "followed" and others as "normal."

Answer

When RightScale upgraded the Chef system, we migrated all repositories from the old RepoPaths construct to the new Repositories. As a result, any cookbooks that were in a repository on a HEAD revision of a repopath were automatically set to "follow" in the new system. The others were set to "normal," or not "follow." For more information, see Follow a Cookbook and Unfollow a Cookbook.
